Beavercreek, April 5, 2008
On Saturday, April 5, the Dayton Autism Society was honored to be part of Barnes & Noble's nationwide campaign to raise autism awareness. This event, entitled "Let's Be Friends Storytime", is being held at over 500 Barnes & Noble Booksellers across the country throughout the month of April.
The event centers around a book entitled Since We're Friends: an Autism Picture Book by Celeste Shally and David Harrington.
Since We're Friends is the moving and inspirational story of an autistic child and the boy who makes a difference in his life -- by offering compassion, understanding, empathy, and, ultimately, the greatest gift of all: friendship.
The Dayton Autism Society enjoyed passing out autism information, answering questions, and giving lollipops to the children in attendance.
